Default HID KIT NOT WORKING

ive just bought a hid kit for my95 sti and went to put it on earlier. The instructions where plug and play. So i went out and had a go at fitting them. I can only get one dip to light up, either high or low. the kit contains a ballast and wiring. one end of the wiring goes into the original headlight connector then from here into the ballast. but theres another 2 wires with a connector on that says it needs to go to the high /low beam controller. i dont know where this box is. can any1 send me a pic or tell me where i should plug the connector into. cheers

That's a little unfair if he's already bought it. I've got one ordered as the HID kit on my car at present only works on dipped beam so I thought I'd replace it but like so many others I can't afford an expensive one. If I work it out, I'll let you know, in the meantime if anyone else can lend a hand it'd be most appreciated

to be honest the imported from h/kong kits are not that reliable and the ones over here are so cheap now it isnt worth buying of ebay u can get hid for 150ish and thats not bad..but u only get what u pay for and a good ballast is essential

Don't think it matters WHERE it's made, guy, it's the backup you get, or don't get, from the dealer selling it that matters.

Sometimes it's better to pay a couple of quid more to someone like BOB'5 to get backup if things go wrong....

You could try adding some product info for others to help you.

Remote wiring is a nightmare, you could try your local "car stereo" shop for advice....

Totally agreed,

Support is key when buying from the UK, I don't even see a point in buying from China anymore considering the prices of the kits here.

I recently bought kit of these guys: eBay UK Shop - JAM Performance UK: Xenon Hid Conversion Kits, Apexi, Electronics

£50 and I can get them on the end of the phone if needed!
The kit was top quality and the price was the best on ebay as well!

If you are only getting HID on dipped beam then you have the wrong set for your car, like what I've got. You need a bi-xenon kit that does both hi and low beam
