Angel eye lights help!!
Hey, ive just bought some second hand angel eyes for my 96 reg impreza off ebay, and id rather have bluer lights in the units, as i had ultrablue lights in my standard headlights anyway, however i dont know where to look for some blue bulbs that will fit my angel eyes? as the bulbs look completely different?? Also....they have a strip of 3 leds on the inside of both units, but mine arent working, anyone know how to get them working? they are all wired up etc, maybe one of u has the same units as me and could maybe help. its really doing my head in! lol

You need to update your "My Scooby" pic.
Whilst I don't like Angel Eyes, I wanna see what these things look like on a classic, unlit and lit.
I did have a look around for a handy lightbulbs FAQ on google but drew a bit of a blank.
Normal classic bulbs will be H4s, your new ones will probably take a H1, H3 or a H7 bulb. If you look carefully, you might see the spec/designation on the side of the bulbs.

Hi mate... dunno if the link will work, but this is what they SHOULD look like lit....with the leds lit too. On my units, i have put blue sidelight bulbs in rather than boring yellow and it lights up a cool ice blue nicley, and doesnt look too blue like u see with some idiots these days with bright dark blue sidelights! trying to sort out my digi camera for some pics.
anyway this is what they should look like

jus took one unit out, the bulbs are both the same (theres one full beam, one main beam) so i guess for the full beam one there is different coloured wiring so it gives more power to make it brighter??? god knows?? but their both exact same bulbs. Really thin small ones though, wrote down the numbers on it, it says:
MICHIBA 12v55w H1 (E13) 2A0
Gonna pop down halfords now see if they can help?!

how easy was that, lol. never seen these bulbs before n go down halfords and the spotty 17-year old sales assistant looks at me with a stupid look on my face when i asked him if they had any small bulbs like this. AH im so stupid! lol. Anyway i paid 17.99 each for two super brilliance blue bulbs, and they're on the car now and the only difference is that they are a brighter yellow! he said they may shine a little bit blue at night, what a rip. i should of just bought the illiegal Total blue ones they had there....and just change them at mot time...but didnt know exactly HOW bright blue they would be so i left them, dont wanna blind any other drivers head on if they're that illegal, better safe to be sorry. wish i did buy em now tho,!

Found a seller on ebay that sells the actual rings for angel eyes in different and brighter colours...'finezea' his user ID is, theyre only around £3 for the pair, but being from abroad postage is a tenner, but thats not really that expensive. But he has Real bright blue halo rings on there, like the ones ull see sparkling bright on a new beemer, and they look simple to install too, after uve took ur lense casing off theres just 2 screws and its out, so gonna order some i think, will post pics soon as
