Default Greddy Turbo Timer

Hi everyone,

Just fitted a Greddy turbo timer which appears to work fine. The problem is that I can not arm the alarm until the timer has finished its count down and turned the engine off. I have searched for the last couple of days on scoobynet and the net in general but haven't found any conclusive answers. I'm using the factory fit alarm and a Greddy turbo timer in an 04 Impreza WRX. Has anyone successfully overcome this problem or am I doomed to waiting for the timer to finish (which kind of defeats the object!)

Any experience/help/points in the right direction would be appricated,

Thanks in advance

Paul

Hi, unless you have purchased to type of timer which bypasses the idle countdown, you will have to wait. Also I dont know how user friendly the factory fitted immobilisers are for allowing the door locking whilst idling, but i know its possible with aftermarket immobilisers.

If your timer is the type to allow locking whilst idling, the immobiliser wont arm passively until the time is up, but will allow the locks to engage.
