Is the ipod connected to a FM broadcast device? If it is then play the ipod and search through the FM frequency using seek/scan and it should pick up the signal. If not then I am sure someone else with let you know. Happy Christmas and New Year

Not sure if this will help but....
If it connects via fm broadcast then you will need something like a griffin itrip in the bottom of the ipod for it to work. However Alpine were the market leaders with ipod compatible stereos and im pretty sure you will find there is a lead from the headunit which connects into the base of the ipod as if you were connecting it to the pc. Once connected the headunit will pick it up as "source" just like a cd multichanger. You can then control the ipod directly from the headunit and it will charge as well.

Thats certaintly the way my kenwood works and like i say Alpine were the market leaders at it.

Hi Bri !
Was in Hedon messing with a pals car yesterday, he had to do a reset of his ipod to get the headunit to find it.

Is the headunit plugged in directly ? I f so does it search but not find the ipod.... that's what his was doing till today !

If it's a radio link then you need to tune in to the right frequency some how !

Good luck !
