does anyone know why my interior light stays on when the doors are closed and also why the rear whiper will only self park when the heated rear screen is on its my94 classic pre facelift wagon

 

The interior light switch has three positions:

On permanent,
On when the doors are open,
Off.

If you're sure it's in position two, check that ALL the door switches are OK, not stuck down.

If it's not that, it could be that the wiring BEHIND one of the switches is chafed and earthing.
