I am going to see a car tomorrow which looks good, but has failed it's MOT on non working rear lights - apparently it isn't a fuse, and they think it is the column switch.

It all sounds a bit fishy to me... but is there anything unusual about impreza electrics which might to difficult (expensive) to fix?????

If nothing works then might be an earth problem. If they all flash dimly when you try the indicators (a common problem) then it's definetely the earth.
