Default fitting chip

just ordered a chip for my wrx wagon ecu is it a case of unplugging the old one and simply clipping this in then hey presto good performance? all seems to easy! how do they fit in?

Need to be soldered in and the J1 resistor cut BUT not removed as if you want to return the ecu to normal the J1 resistor can be soldered back up.

Frequently Asked Questions this could be of use to you even if it's not a Scott T chip.
