Crystal Headlamps without motors? Can they be aligned?
I have got my hands on some new crystal headlamps for my MY98 and would like to know if they can be aligned WITHOUT using the motors. I dont have electric motors at the moment and dont want the hassle of fitting them.
Any ideas?

AFAIK, the motors aren't really for alignment, as such, but for load compensation, so that you can turn 'em down when carrying fat passengers in the back seats
or a load of bags of cement in the boot.
The motorised lights still have adjusters for up/down and side to side.
Investigate while they are off the car, noting which way they go when you turn the screws clockwise.
BTW: Don't expect them to perform any better than the non-crystal ones, although they do look nice...........

Not that I know them in any detail but chances are that they were set in the '0' position when removed so should be pointing straight ahead and no they shouldn't jump around at all but someone may know more than me.
