hi,..so i have a 94 wrx with the later 99 model crystal lights fitted,....now i assume that water has got thru the bonnet vents and has got to the nr side headlight connector as this had burnt out,....and so i cut the wire down to where it WASNT burnt and added some more wire and a new connector.....(the one which fits directly onto bulb) now the light comes on, JUST however its so dim it doesnt produce no light to the road what so ever, i cant understand it. any ideas?.......i tried changing the bulb too

 

probby got the wiring crossed, check the earth in on the correct terminal, and the other 2 are dip and full,

either no earth and working through both filaments at half brightness,
or earth on incorrest terminal of the connector,

check each terminal is live and earth identical with the other side,
