Default PSI3 fitting question

Guys,

Someone here in Holland is planning to buy a PSI3 monitor that came from a WRX.

It is the single-DIN version, with it's own housing:

http://www.psi3.co.uk/index.php?act=...d&productId=30

He owns a MY00 GTT, and the connection to the ODB-II will not be a problem. The PSI3 will work the same way as on a WRX.

But, the fitting whoever is the bottleneck I think.

Can it be fitted in the Forester-pod with or without some modifications?:

Anyone?

Cheers,

All you will need to fit it is a new front panel, the single DIN enclosure will not be needed when you use the Pre '01 pod ( subaru part no. H0017FC900OE)
The front panels are £10 plus vat and delivery.

Thanx for the quick response Simon!

So fitting will not be a problem then.

Whoever, the previous owner of the PSI3-monitor had a problem I heard today.
He used it without problems on a MY01, but in his new MY06 car it fails.

"When I connect the PSI3 to my car, it start's but turn's itself off agian. No funny sign's ore whatsoever on the screen.
When I turn the key, it does nothing."
Can it be the version does not recognise the MY06 ECU and turns itself off, as written in the user-manual?

Since you are the man, I also have a question according to my own PSI3.

I saw a picture lately, where the LCD-screen was showing 6 items, instead of the 4 I can choose from. (5 pages)
Can you tell me how to achive this?

I have software version-9 by the way.

Cheers and thanx for all help handed!

Arend.
