Default Defi style Dash clocks

Wonder if anyone can shed a bit of light on this,i collected my MY05 Spec C yesterday and i was under the impression that it had the same dash clocks as an STi of the same year ie Defi Style swooshy wooshy ones. Now the problem i have is that i get no 'opening ceremony' from my dash when i turn the ignition on it just lights up red immediately although a friend of mine has an 05 STi and his dash does the 'opening ceremony' type thing before lighting up red
My question is,is there a cure for this or does the Spec C not have the defi clocks?

I have an 04 STi, but it's an 05 spec car chassis and body-wise...I was kinda expecting the clocks you are talking about, so I guess it was a later addition.

My clocks are also green I think...........not driven it at night yet!! lol

I believe all UK spec cars have green dash clocks (at night i mean) and the JDM cars from 03 onwards have the Defi style clocks

anyone?

Im sure I read/heard that you can turn the swoosh off/on. (Could be talkin bobbins thought!)

Its enabled on mine. MY03 JDM.

What we need to is a UK owner with these clocks and a handbook.

There is nothing wrong with your clocks mate, Spec C's didn't have this feature. It can be enabled though. I had it enabled on my Spec C by Litchfield. They input some ROM info into the ECU and it now sweeps on start up.

If you manage to get it done by someone else, make sure that your clocks are still reading in mph afterwards.

Is there anyone more local to the southcoast that can enable this feature or is it just Litchfields? I'm not driving a 4 hour round trip just for this id rather leave it unless im going to Powerstation for something.Someone must know what to do seems like a cheap money making scheme by dealers

Are there any mappers local/near to you?? If so, get in touch with them and ask if they have the ROM info available or if they could enable the feature.
