Question ECU SCAN DONE RIGHT?

I've just done an ecu scan on my 96 wrx import using the two black connectors and the two green connectors. I hear the fan going, relay's clicking etc but i my red check engine light stays on without flashing, and the orange check engine light stays off. Doe's this mean everything is fine then?

Connecting the green and black connectors are part of the reset, you just need to connect the black wires to read the ECU.

Not trying to reset my ecu, Just checking to make sure she has no hidden faults. I've been told that if i have no flashing check engine lights then not to to worry. So am i right in thinking my red check engine light stays on without flashing and my orange check engine light does not come on at all that everything is fine?
