Default Classic Crystal Headlights. Which ones???

Could someone clear this up for me please.

Why would / should you opt for original crystal headlights when the pattern / 3rd party items cost alot less?

I'm after a set and don't want to make the wrong choice.

Help

Some/most of the original ones have the electric headlamp adjuster facility in them. Pattern parts tend not to but it's no big deal.
Once the lamps are set, how often would you play with the adjustment switch?....

my car never had the electric adjusters anyway

what i found was that the rubber seal on the back of the pattern part was poor, i used the original seal from my old headlight.

and the sidelights were not fully sealed up and started to mist up, this was easy fixed by warming the unit up on a radiator and just "squidging" the parts together

Why fit crystal lights? They are equally as bad as the OE non-crystal ones, in that they put LOADS of light all over the place. Even fitting better bulbs just makes the scatter brighter.

One word: "Morettes".

The genuine ones, NOT Angel Eyes. Proper Morettes use Cibie light units, and there aren't any better..........
