Question Heater problems

Hi, 96 classic. The heater is always hot apart from the last cold position, what could be wrong?
Also seems to take a while to heat up!
Thanks in advance.

Anyone?
Is there a temp sensor or is it just the dial that controls the heat?
Thanks.

There is a temp sensor but that only works on auto function.

The heat control **** works via a servo opening & closing a flap which is part of the heater control unit.

You can just about see the both servos on the side of the heater unit.
Centre console/ foot wells.
There should be a metal rod which connects to the servo & flap, make sure nothing is obstructing its movement. Or check if the rod is not connected.

Operate the heater dial whilst looking at the servo, you should hear it working.
