Default MY97 , only half my dash illumintaing??

Ok , only my rev counter and temp gauge illuminate, these are powered of the plug on the right hand side, the plug on the left powers the speedo and fuel gauge and some of the ignition lights.

The thing is the ignition lights powered by the same plug as the speedo and fuel gauge light up whilst the gauges don't.

So far I've changed the bulbs and tried another instrument pod and the fault persists.

HELP!!

Cheers

Kenny

Cheers for PM i'll check once I get a new battery into the Fluke and make sure I'm getting 12v.
I'm thinking that all the connecting and disconnecting the grey plug might have damaged the connections although there is no blatent sign of this, there is no way the loom itself could be damaged is there?

The dash loom is the shortest compared to the rest of the car looms.
Most of the earth wires branch to a single earth wire as well as power wires.
But they share the same colour codes.
You might have a break in one of them. Its just a matter of tracing back what you done or changed when the illumination failed or was it like this when you bought the car.
Your best bet is to find a wiring diagram suited for your model year. That way you can trace the wiring without having to strip everything down.
