Hey guys i have a 95 WRX Saloon and the electric Aerial has started playing up, it works ok with the stereo i mean you turn the stereo on the aerial goes up, turn it off the aerial goes down. But when you have the car parked up ignition off and doors locked i can hear the aerial making noises like its trying to retract itself over and over, now it only does this intermittently and not all the time. The odd occasion when i have been sitting in the car with the radio on and the aerial is fully extracted i can hear it trying to extract itself over and over then it stops.

Any ideas what this could be?

i had exactly the same thing happen to mine,apparently its on its way out mate..
