bulbs for stiv3

i'd like to improve the lighting changing the bulbs, on my old car i used PIAAs they're very good but really expensive, does any other make the same good bulbs but for a fraction of the cost??

They are H4's, Halfords own brand, in the Gold boxes, 50% uprated, recently did very well in an Auto Express test, coming top for output and optical performance.
They WERE BOGOF last week, so are even better value.

I don't think they have a halfords in Belgium, do they?
I have heard a lot about the halfords ones. How much are they then?

They are hardly blue when they are on. Its just the bulb that is blue. Its a nice crisp white light. Don't know why they are not street legal, they almost look like HID's. I was so impressed, I have put off buying a HID's for a while.

Philips Vision Plus are also well rated, as are GE Megalights which are 60% uprated, both are available via mailorder.
The Halfords ones were £14.99 a PAIR with BOGOF.
