probably a silly idea but is there any reason why you cant fit headlights with dip/main instead of driving lamp conversion.Seems to offer a solution to improove dip and main?

If you fitted an additional lamp that also worked on dip beam, but mounted in the position of the drive lamp, it would be illegal as it would fall foul of the Construction and Use Regulations which stipulate that a headlamp has to be a certain distance from the ground (IIRC, about 24").
