Light indications.....
OK so here'sa wierd one but i ant to try it .....
I want to have a RED led that lights up once the electrics of the car are switched on and then a different GREEN led that will light up instaed of the red one once the engine has started up and is running.
would this be possible, what would i take a feed from that would show that the engine is up and ruinning......
could i use a feed from the coil or the alternator ? ? or would the ECU give me an output ?
Thanks
Chris .

OK, I'm no electronics expert, but IIRC you can buy LEDS in bi-colour, and I'm pretty sure that red/green is one combination.
Try: Electrical and electronic components from Rapid. Leading UK distributor of components, tools and cables
Then you ought to be able to get the red direct from a switched ignition feed, eg: radio, and green from the alternator output.
I don't think those LEDs come as 12V though, so you'd need resistors.......
