Is there any way of changing the bulbs in the side indicators of a 04 JDM STi?

I have had the light unit out and unplugged it,but the two pins look like they are in a sealed unit.Are they just a throw away item?

According to my manual the whole thing is replaced. Seems a bit stupid to me but there you go.

 

OK cheers,can be an expensive bulb change.
