I've just taken my parcel shelf out of my 98 impreza expecting to be able to fit my 6x9s in the hole already provided however they are too big,just wondering what solutions people have how youve done it.

Fitted my 6x9's (Sony 3-way) using 15mm MDF spacers I made myself, then covered with carpet from an ICE specialist before fitting.

If going this route, ensure that speakers WILL clear rear screen b4 fitting, get 'em as far forwards as you can, then you'll have no probs.

BTW: Sony do a template on their speaker boxes.
