Default Dead Tuner

A friend has asked me about his Sony head unit and i'm stupmed a i havent come accross it before.

His CD player is fine and works with no problems, however his tuner is dead and when he selects the tuner it is simply dead he gets nothing.

He has checked the aerial and it's connected and fine, still nothing ?????

It's confused m too as ats a single din unit and the cd player is fine so it cant be a power thing.

I was thinking maybe a small fuse inside the head unit or something similar ???

Anyone got any thoughts please ???

Thanks
Chris.

There's a "reset" button on most Sony units, find it, and press it, see if that helps. On mine it's behind the removable fascia.

Failing that, it'll be a new unit, I'm afraid, (or an expensive repair).

If its in a newage car they have an amplifier because the aerial is in the rear screen. If this isn't getting 12v supply then that is probably your problem. Look in the ICE section as I'm sure it has been covered many times. If it isn't a car with screen aerial then I don't know.

Andy.
