Hi Can any please confirm the type of bulb used for the low beam on a UK 2003 Sti

 

2003? That's a bug eye then? They use 9005 and H1 for dip and main, not necessarily in that order.

Dredging down through the sieve I have for a memory..... 99% sure it's 9005 for main at the top and H1 in the middle for the dip. Yep sure it is.

You can easily check, the main is very easy to see and if the main is 9005 then the dip or low beam is H1. The wiring for the 9005 is a plug at right angles to the bulb itself and the whole thing removes with a quarter turn. If I'm wrong and the main is H1 then dip is 9005.

 

More than likely its the low dipped beam that is 9005 but not 100% sure.

 

Just checked back to 2003 in the archives and numerous posts say 9005 (aka HB3) for main beam and H1 for dip.
