Default Loom burnt out!!

Hiya

im very new on here and tryying to find my feet with the car

its a R reg classic scooby

there has been a fire/electrical fault and caused some damage
i will try and get some pics up soon

there is a loom which is wrapped in a yellow casing which comes down where your left leg would be (sitting in drivers seat) from centre console (obv under carpet) runs alond front seat and towards the right hand side....

well this is buggered..

the car wont start and not sure what has happened...

does anyone no what this loom is for or where it runs from and to?

The yellow loom is for the airbag system. So make sure the battery is disconected before messing with it.

The airbag control module is in the centre console (under the ashtray) - this is where the loom leads to.

It shouldn't affect the starting of the car, so there maybe a fault elsewhere.

there are 2 or maybe 3 looms, are the all for the airbag??!!??

there are a few sensors dotted around the car so I'd expect more than one loom.

All will be in yellow conduit and WILL NOT affect running or starting of the car.
