Default Cigarette lighter power

I'd like to rewire my cigarette lighter so that the power stays on with the ignition off: I've had a quick look behind it but can't see a good postive feed. Can anyone help?

I could take the power off the stero head unit but don't want to risk pulling too much current through one wire. Is there a better feed nearby?

Why not take a feed straight from the battery, as long as you have a fuse as close as possible to the battery you'll be fine.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to look at the rear of the hazard light.

You will need a 10 amp fuse and a >10 amp wire.
I would take it straight from the battery if I were you. If you take it from anywhere else, then you are adding additional load to a circuit which is not designed to accomodate it.
