Default Orange Cover

Does anyone kno where i can buy a clear cover to replace the orange 1 in the bugeye headlights for the front indicators?

i'm looking to get a clear 1 and use silver bulbs (which flash orange) so the lights will look "cleaner" to get rid of the orange glow

cheers

You don't need a clear cover you just take the orange bit out and leave it out. The silver bulbs that flash orange then sort the orange light bit out.

That was the easy bit. Taking the orange bot out is the hard bit. Do a search on de tango for 2001 and 2002 and you'll find out how to do it. You need an oven and a lot of brave pills...... But lots have done it so go for it.

Thumbs up

It's not that difficult really, only takes about 30 mins. The hard part is getting the lights in and out of the car. Got the dealer to do that for me.

Ahh well I can help there, took mine out loads of times when I was HID'ing them. Just never had the courage to do the detangoing oven thing. Not saying it's diffcult just you need to be brave.

Taking the lights out - take the small blue (presumably) plastic bits out between the grille and the lights, these have 4 clips each two at the top and two at the bottom. To get the clips out you need to lift the centre bit up first (lever it up with a small flat electrical type screwdriver) then the base can collapse and it just pops out. Then they are just clipped in behind the grille, they'll pull free carefully by a slight twisting. Then two or three 10mm bolts on the light itself, one on the top and I think 2 in the middle. Finally just a spring loaded pin down by the inner wing, no tricks here just pull it carefully away from the bodywork, directly forwards, and the light will pop out and free.
