Depending what sort of bulb it has, you have a few options:
1) Buy a green bulb - Demon Tweeks/Carnasoir (sp?)
2) Get some green bulb paint - available from the same places and the usual boy racer shops. Costs about £7 for a pot of it
3) Get a bulb boot (green rubber cover for the bulb) - Demon Tweeks about £3
Hope this helps

You could also consider a 12V LED module from somewhere like Maplins - there are some around that are direct replacements for filament bulbs. They have the distinct advantage that they last forever!

Call me cheap but I stole my wife's green nail varnish and applied about 4 coats to get the right colour to match the rest of the dash illumination.
AFAIK the lighter socket backlight bulb uses a green cover, perhaps they're available from Subara dealers???
