anyone know what the type of indicator bulb is for pre my01 impreza ?

i have an my01 and it is a p21w. i tried to put the silver vision clear indicator bulbs in. philips only make these bulbs in py21w as the p21w is designed specifically to have an orange cover on it (as it does in my motor). the py21w dont fit as the pins on the bulb are slightly offset.

i need to know if the old impreza uses py21w sockets so i can get them in my headlights and get rid of the horrid orange bulb covers !

 

Just checked the bulb on my 94MY and it is the same as yours P21W. However it is clear. I would think that you could get one from your dealer or Halfords.

Just been to Halfords for a few bits and they have the bulbs you are after. Code number 382? Clear and cost about £1.50 for a pair.
