Question

Guys,

I've got some front MY00 clear indicators from Scoobymania that are a little loose compared to the originals. Now it looks like to me that this is due to:

a) the lug/shoulder that the screw goes through that's supposed to butt up against the metal thread clip/plastic bumper mount is a little shorter than the original so presumably, may not be making solid contact

b) the metal thread clips are a little loose and however much I squeeze them, they are still loose

Anybody had this problem and/or got any ideas. I have a very temporary measure using a small piece of rubber to try and wedge the unit tight but want to make a decent permanent solution.

Any help from anyone (Mike T in particular) would be most welcome.

Cheers guys,

Matt

Hi Matt
Can u not put a spring washer or 2 on the bolt behind the lug, this will fill the gap and hold it tight for a permenant fix

Yes, I'm looking to pack it out with something - I was hoping that someone else had already found a good method....

Yeh, I had the same problem, fixed it using a bit of black rubber tape to pack out the gap.

Hope this helps

My car is a MY97.
