Question

Hi there,

I replaced the headlight bulbs on my MY98 with Halfords Xenon Laser Blue bulbs (part number 472LB 60/55w) at £9.99 each and am pretty impressed with the results - better than the standard ones.

Does anyone know if they also carry Xenon bulbs that would fit the sidelights (I was dumb enough not to think of this when in the store)?

Cheers,

Simon.

I switched to the regular Xenons from Halfords About a year ago, The mags say they don't last as long as the halogens but no probs so far and they are noticeably brighter, I don't think they do a xenon side-light bulb but they do have bulbs that have a bluer colour that would match the main beam better!! :->

PIAA do a sidelight bulb that are a better match for the Halfords Xenons. I got mine from GGR for about £9 per pair.

I got some of those blue side light bulbs, managed to fit the one in the near side but could not get the offside light unit out so left that one with the standard bulb... guess what... they look exactly the same!

Thanks for the advice, I'll have a prowl around the stores and Autosport 2001 on Sunday and see what I can find - will let you know when I find something.

My MY98 wagon had it's 2 year / 30k major service yesterday, and it's a completely different car now :-)
