I've always considered converting the sidelights into indicators and replacing the front indicators with additional brake ducting

As far as I have been told, sidelights are required by law. So converting them would be out.

Why not get some pipeing, attach it under the spoiler and route it to the discs.

I think Scooby Mania or ScoobySport have actually started selling little ducts that go under the front bumper.
