Now the winter is coming, I've realized (again) that my Impreza's headlights are crap (even compared to the wife's Saxo). It seems to me that a driving light conversion is not the answer, as I spend nearly all of my daily commute on dipped. The Morette twin headlight conversion looks like a plan, but I don't like the 'Max Power' look of the twin headlights. I wonder if it's possible to get a clear surround or something (perhaps like the Ford Cougar's rear lights with the 'bubbles' in them), or whether sticking the Subaru headlamp covers (that I already have) over them would make them look like the OEM headlights.

Summary: want OEM look, but better reflectors.

You could try uprated bulbs - I use PIAA SuperWhites which give out really good light but are horrendously expensive.

Red face

About 55 quid a pair - but they are very good. I've been using them for a couple of months and I've been very impressed. Don't mind paying a bit extra for things as long as they work.

The 55watt PIAA bulbs should give the equivalent of a'standard' 85watt bulb. Is it worth the money, or spend the extra to get bthe Scoobsport Conversion?

You can't always drive with full beam on i.e. with driving lights, so I think the PIAA bulbs are worth having as they improve the lighting on dipped beam.

Having said that, I've got both anyway :-)

You cheeky young man

Been a bit slow haven't seen your post until now. If you want to find the nice young ladies - I would recommend a visit to Madrid - been there all week - what a place!

Cheers
