Default How easy is it to change headlight bulbs on a MY03?

Wanna get some decent bulbs fitted and actually see where im going.

How easy is the task in hand? Haven't looked under the bonnet yet, just wondered if any of you have done it yet?

Also what bulbs have you gone for and where did you get them?

can you not get to them from the back Phil? If you remove the unit I assume you have to set them back up again.....

Nice lights on ya car mate, I like white.....

You will need nimble fingers

No realignment at the bolts do not move the adjustment is in the unit

unless you have the double jointed hands of a 7 year old ....

remove air intake on left hand side and remove battery on right hand side.

the rest is basic bulbs out and in stuff.

- mark.

you should be able to do it in under 30 mins ... given some basic proficiency with a spanner

Have changed the main beam bulbs on the car now to 30% brighter after market bulbs and they are very good. Will try to get to the dipped driving lights this week and do the same

The Osram Silver star, H4 and other fittings, are available on ebay for £12 inc delivery. Big improvement in light output and a great price.

Don't need to remove/discopnnect battery for N/S dip. Just loosen the battery bracket and you can just about squeeze your fingers in enough. I've put in Phillips vision plus (H1) dips and left the standard mains, how often do you get to use main beam these days anyway.

Got free blue sidelight bulbs with the H1s from powerbulbs, unfortunately you do have to completely remove the headlight unit to change the sidelights - great design !!!
