Default wiring diagram to fit tow hitch

I am about to fit a tow hitch to the back of my STI5, does anyone know the wiring colours for the back lights, or will I have to resort to the old fashioned method.

Before anyone asks though, no it's not for a caravan. I need to beable to tow my hovercraft.

If you bought a sub light socket kit it should have a plug which fits into a socket on the right hand side rear light cluster loom. Other than that m8 sorry I'd be a bit like yourself (fiddling)

The OE Subaru kit costs about £40 + VAT, but just plugs straight into the existing plug that is behind the o/s rear light........you just remove the trim in the boot.
At least you do in a UK car!

If you don't want to do that, buy a circuit tester, about £2 gets you one with a bulb in. Clip it to a suitable earth, then use it to identify each of the wires at the plug. Apparently, you can cut the plug off first if you want, but Scotchloks have always worked for me.
