Wiring Loom Removal
#2
don't assume you'll do it in an hour
secondly, is it just where the rollcage is fastened in assuming it's welded so it's to protect it from the heat?
can just the local areas be removed around where the work is needed as removing a full loom is probably easiest with all the car stripped out as well

Cheers. thought it would take me some time.
The guys fitting it wanted to remove it as a precaution so that no wires become damaged from weld splash.
There is only the wiring loom left in the car so that will help, nothing else can physically be removed.

is it possible to shield the wiring with some heat resistant matting eg kevlar (not allowed to use asbestos now but it used to be good for this job)?
it might save a bit of work...
