Hi all,

Had a search through a number of threads, but cannot find a definitive answer and after the bad weather at the weekend I really want to upgrade from the standard bulbs ASAP.

Which bulbs out of the two below would people recommend for an Sti8?

Philips Vision Plus
or
Osram Silver Star

Plus can anyone confirm that the bulbs for a MY03 Sti8 are:
HB3 (9005) - Dip Beam
H1 - Main Beam

Bulbs are H1 for dip and HB3 (9005) for main beam on my WRX03 so STI wouldn't be any different. I've put H1 silver stars in for dip and yes a definite improvement over OEM fit. 9005's are not available in Silver star in the UK, only USA and are 9005ST as I think they have a coating on the glass.

Waiting for 9005ST's to arrive from the States. Can't comment on Philips stuff as never tried them, but Silver Star did come out top in Auto Express tests.
