CR#P HEADLIGHTS!!!!

1. I,VE JUST RETURNED TO SCOOBY'S AFTER A YEAR (ALFA 147 NICE CAR -TOO SLOW).I,VE BOUGHT A MY02 WRX BUT AM DISAPPOINTED BY THE FEEBLE HEADLIGHTS . ANY RECOMMENDATIONS OF REPLACEMENT BULBS APPRECIATED ( NEW LIGHTS NOT YET AN OPTION ).
2. BROKEN GLASS FROM A SHATTERED BULB IS IN O/S HEADLIGHT . CAN THE FRONT GLASS BE REMOVED WITHOUT DAMAGING IT ORWILL I HAVE TO TRY TO GET IT OUT THROUGH THE BULB HOLE ?? THANKS IN ADVANCE MC

no need to SHOUT
replacement bulbs: have a search for Philips vision plus etc or search for the companies Autolamps, Powerbulbs etc
as for getting out the broken glass, it might be easier taking the full headlight off the car and shaking it without the bulb(s) in than trying to fish out the shards it's not the quickest of jobs but you'd need to do the following:
take off the upper grille
remove the headlight's three bolts to free the light
remove wiring / connections from rear of light - h/light should now come free of car
carefully remove bulb and try to shake out glass.
re-assemble in reverse order
reset light beam alignment if needed as it'd be unlikely things would go back in the same place...
