STI Rear Light group buy?
#1
Is anyone interested?
I understand that some companies sell them for around £300 and Scoobymania seem to be the cheapest at £200 + vat which works out to be £235 + p&p
Would anyone be interested in a group buy so we can see if we can get them cheaper?
Apparently there isnt much mark up on this but i think i know a supplier who can help us out
Please add your name below if interested.

You definitely wont get them less than £150. I think thats why we never got the group buy before under £200 before. It ends up costing the supplier near £200 to buy them, bring them from Japan, shipping, vat nad import costs.

Had to do some looking about as some Scoobycity peeps were interested and ive found a supplier who is willing to do it cheap enough!
Price will be around the £180 mark plus delivery!
So i expect final price to be £190 inc delivery!!!!
Cheapest retail i found was Scoobymania which works out to be £240-£250. Others sell STI classics for £260 upwards
Please put your name down so i can let the supplier know how many we need.

To me that seems a bit on the pricey side for you guys. I'm organising a bulk buy on our local Australian WRX forum and our local (Perth) standard price for classic is approx $370 Aus dollars but if we order 10 or more we can get them for $320 Aus dollars. (approx 135 pounds)
I would of thought it should be similar pricing for you guys in the UK.

£135 sounds good. Its about the same price this supplier must be getting it for.
By the time its shipped to the UK it adds more.
Vat at 17.5% is £23.63
Import tax is 10% which is £13.50
So just the cost of the goods, plus the vat and import costs we have to pay is £172.13!!!! Then it needs to be shipped to the UK and then shipped to the customers house which will probably now work over £200
Thats why we could never get a group buy under £200 before.
So actually, this supplier must be getting them less than £135 to do a group buy for this price!
Bloody Uk taxes

Thanks for the offer there MONEY but I'm sure I would be in the same situation as you...i.e Shipping to Australia would be pretty pricey. Mind you, I wouldn't have to pay the VAT

BTW, one thing worth mentioning is that the sedan and wagon (erm...the car and estate ) take different lights. They look the same but the mountings are different.

Exactly, you wouldnt have to pay vat. I could ask the supplier that where he gets their goods from, could they ship straight to you?
You are right abotu the sedan and wagon, forgot to mention that. Sti rear lights on a wagon are about £400 here and are impossible to get hold of!

There are another few members who have signed up on SIDC and Scoobycity but ill keep this one for Scoobynet.
Payment, ill let you know when we get enough people to make sure it goes ahead (think it will).
Rear fog light, can either:
Add an additional fog light at the bottom
Pain a reverse light red
Or the best option, i will show you what was done with mine - the fog light can be made to go in the STI light so its part of the light. Real easy

Aaaarggh, why do these good deals always come along when you've just bought something else! Ah what the hell, put me down for a set, the spoiler painting and colour coding will have to wait! Is it possible for someone who has no idea what they're doing to fit these? i.e. is it just unbolt, take off bulb holders, bolt new lights on and attach bulb holders? please mail me at rossyboy@btinternet.com when money needed and time to delivery

Money
If the Siwrx on your group buy is the one that did the Group Buy on gauges a bit back and no longer posts on here or replies to emails, he owes me parts/and or money
And im not happy if it is the same guy, that he is out buying stuff, or participating in group buys on here, and not replying to my mails or threads
Steve
If it isnt the same one, then apologies

lol at Rossyboy. It is always the way. They are pretty easy to fit. It literally is unbolt them, pull the lights out and to take off the sealer which is round the lights gradually pulling them out.
STI lights coated with sealer round corner, pushed in and bolted back. Job done.
Sonic, Siwrx is the guy who did the gauges group buy. He is a friend of mine round the corner. He actually doesnt go on the net anymore as he has been working
However, i do speak to him quite a bit. Please email me and let me know what parts or money he owes you and ill get it for you.
THe only reason he has joined this group buy is cause i was talking to him the other day and told him about it. Like i said, he cant get access to the net at the moment and thats why he doesnt post on here or replied to your emails.
Im not defending him but my point is, email me and ill sort it for you mate
