Dipped beam lens is broken, MY01. Have been waiting 2 months for local dealer to get spare in, has anyone else had supply problems with this?

If we're talking classic model here, the dip/main beam (outer) light units are standard 5 3/4 inch Cibie units, and should be availble locally, from people like Demon Tweeks, Larkspeed etc, or from dealers like Graham Goode, TSL etc.

I'm aslo pretty sure the old Capri was the same unit, so motor factors?

Ohh yes, in the summer my dipped lens broke on my MY01 and the dealer wanted £135 for a new lens.
I bought a left hand drive complete unit from the USA for $40 delivered and did the oven trick to split the two units in half and replace the broken glass with the glass front from the left hand drive light.

It worked a treat and i saved a fortune.
