Sorry if stupid question guys, but i presume that the horn in MY00 steering wheel is just a "push to close" switch that then puts power through to the horn??

Please correct me if i'm wrong, cause was thinking of using steering wheel switch / horn for another use. Will only work if it's "push to close". Oh, and, is it in positive or negative loop of wiring to the horn???
