Does anyone know if you can fit a towbar on a MY02 Sti. It's not listed on the Subaru site for the Sti, only for the WRX.

Also, if it does fit, anyone know anywhere cheaper than the £250 for the detachable unit?

Cheers
Gareth.

Try Witter. They have a website.
I have a towbar on my '98, one of theirs. I didn't go for the detachable one, as it was way too dear, but I do detach my towball, and lower fitting, with 4 bolts, when not in use. Takes me a minute instead of 10 seconds, and saved me about £150!

Alcazar, thats a good point about the detachable ball, I think I may go down that route and £150 + electrics is very expensive.

Do you know if it requires any cutting of the bumper on a MY02?

Cheers

Mine didn't need the bumper cutting, but the cross piece fouled the TSL "Group N" backbox, so I was glad I had it fitted, as the fitter fabricated a bracket to move the b/b slightly, and so far, no probs.
