I have a question regarding the need for lights on a road car.
I have been offered a '7 Type' car with no lights, it has speedo and horn, if bought it will be used primarily for track days so the lack of lights is not a major problem.
I will though want to use it on nice weekends for road blasts, the builder assures my that no lights is legal, I thought that brake lights were a requirement, they would certainly be desirable.
Does anyone know the legal position on this or where I can find the information ?

For a MOT test side/head lights are not needed (as long as the test is done in daylight hours).
Stop lights and rear reflectors are.
For further info you could contact your local mot and police station.
The mot and Police laws are different on lights, so check both.
