Last year, I upgraded my main bulbs with Philips Visionplus H4 bulbs, which have proven to be great. However, this has left the sidelights on my MY00 looking decidedly yellow & dim. Last week I saw some clustered LED bulbs at an independant car shop locally & wondered if they were any good. Has anyone out there tried them & if so, whats the verdict/effect? Thanks in advance.

Not quite. They looked like the connector end looks on a capsule bulb, with maybe 5 or 6 LED's joined on, stacked closely next to each other in a circular fashion. Shame I haven't got a picture.

Have tried two types of LED bulbs, dome type and four cluster type, the colour was good and matched my PIAA headlamp bulbs, but LED`s are very directional and when fitted in the sidelamps you can hardly see them from the side.

Tried getting 25w motorcycle indicator ones but no luck, aparantly the ones to get are Philips Blue Vision or PIAA??????????????

any comment anyone

The ones above in my picture are wide angle bulbs, they are not narrow angle like the PIAA's

Huxley

And they Are a LOT cheaper than the PIAA from Gecko motorsport

I've got the Philips Blue Vision side lights and although they are whiter they aren't that bright still.

Now if someone where to make crystal clear side lights we might be onto a winner

Went for a pair of Philips BlueVision from Powerbulbs - came today, fitted this evening. That's more like it! They seem to match the main headlights perfectly, & aren't p1ss yellow like the old ones.

Powerbulbs have got an offer on at the moment, buy any
headlamp bulbs (pair) or silver indicator bulbs and you get
a pair of W5W side light blue vision bulbs free, not bad if
you want the Super vision headlamp bulbs anyway!

As I've already upgraded my main bulbs, I couldn't take advantage of this good offer! Mind you, I bought my VisionPlus bulbs locally for £12.95, not £20 odd from Powerbulbs, so it all balances out in the end! Worth considering if you haven't done your main bulbs yet though.

Thumbs up

Thats a good price for the Super Vision H4 bulbs Tim, I
couldnt get them anywhere near that up here so ordered
them from Powerbulbs.com which seemed about the cheapest on
the web, and thought i was doing ok with the free blue vision,
ahh well - as you say it all balances out in the end

Cheers

I was surprised to find them at that price. I'm sure they've got it wrong, but I've kitted out my Dad, my wife, a couple of friends, not to mention myself, with these! Might as well milk it whilst I can! Shame they didn't do the BlueVision ones too.

Cool

I've got PIAA ultra white side light bulbs which give out a blue/white light which matches my bulbs in my headlamps+foglamps the car is dark blue and at dusk it certainly looks good(dont get me wrong the bulbs are not too blue but just right 100% better than standard yellow ones
