Cool

Is there an easy way to adjust the PIAA driving lights on a RB5 ? I changed the bulb the other day and they are all over the place now. If you leave the adjuster loose and get the correct position, then by the time you remove them and tighten the fixing nut, they have moved. IMHO the design is complete ****e!!!

Please help, I so pissed off with them now!!!

Are you sure you got the bulb seated correctly when you changed it?
Sorry, if that's a daft question.
I had a similar prob with some Hella ones from Prodrive, Apparently, it is just trial and error.
Might I suggest that when you do get them aligned, you make paint/Tippex marks on the lamp and it's mounting so that you can put them back EXACTLY as they were very easily?
Sorry I can't be of more help.

Go to your supermarket carpark late at night & use the white lines. Mine are perfect!!

Just make sure you park dead parallel in a space!

Hmm, from what I can tell the bulb has been fitted correctly. It's just the mounting bracket has moved, and I can't seem to get the bugger back in the same place..... Everytime I get the correct position then remove the complete unit, after tightening the fixing bracket up, it either points to the road or the sky!!!!

Is it me or is it a really **** design ??

Cool

Just had an email from Mike Wood (Pro-drive) explaining how to do it. Fair play that's really nice him taking the time to write to me. Will have a go at it at the weekend

Thanks Phill C

Yeah me too....

I would also appreciate seeing the official method, hopefully there might be an easier way.

I'm away on business all week and haven't got access to the email he sent me. If you guys want to email me, I check with him, then forward the mail to you.

I used his method and they are bloody lovely now

Nah, it's just you Phil

The only way to adjust the PIAA's is too either loosen the mounting bracket and re-tighten while moving the bracket around to align them properly or move thge lamps up or down on the hinge.

I had to replace one of mine and had no probs with the alignment. The bulb can only go in one way and is held firmly with the spring clip.

I just screwed them back on and tilted them up to get the beam pointing as far forward as possible.

I stuck some pics on my website (under cars, mods) when I replaced the lamp. If your unsure how the bulb should fit, I took a close-up pic when I fitted mine.

Stefan
