Ran out of petrol the other day (only just bought car), I take it there IS supposed to be a warning light for low fuel?

If so how is bulb changed?

I think only the MY99> got a warning light

But I never run the tank that low. I've had $hit in the tank get into the lines on a previous car

 

MY98 also has the warning light (well, mine has). New type of dash.
Silly me, i forgot if the MY97 has the new dash or not .
So with the new dash i suppose there is a light.

MY97 and not got one.

 

ONLY on new style dash, with 2 small circular temp / petrol gauges.
NOT on the pre MY99's (is my MY-ing is right!)

thats a bit poor really, owned lots of jap cars and always had a petrol light!

You must have a post Sept 98 car as I believe thats when the MY changes! You have the new shape dash and bumper of the MY99

 

FWIW, US MY 99:

 

I have a model 98, delivered in june 1998 to the first owner.
My car has the new dash (with the tray on top) and the MY98 front with the large indicators, definately not the MY99 front with the small indicators and orange bits.

oh and my dash looks like above picture exept my speedo is in KM not miles

I do not suppose the UK cars are that different to Dutch cars ?
