I just picked up a 94 WRX import and noticed that only the drivers side wing mirror folds in when the switch is pushed. Should the passenger side fold too? Also, the drivers side motor makes a horrid screeching/juddering when it folds. Can this be oiled or something...if so... how do it get to it without breaking anything?

Sorry to hi-jack your thread but does anyone know know when they started fitting folding mirrors on imports? I have a 93 wrx that doesn't have them

Mine is a wagon if that makes any difference. I'll check the tag on the seatbelt tonight to see when it was made. I think it's 94 but it might be 93.

They are both supposed to fold in.

I though all Jap models had the folding mirros from the beginning. The give away is a mirro folding switch beside the electric mirror adjuster.
