Default advice and a bit of help

Hi all

I'm in the process of fitting some tein coilovers to my 2016 sti. I also purchased the edfc controller kit. I have fitted the coilovers and the motors that go on the top but now I need to wire up the controller in the car.

There are 4 wires I need to wire up.

Ground
Live constant
Live switched
Illumination

I contacted Subaru to ask for a wiring diagram for the back of the stereo as I was hoping to take a feed from there but the lad on the phone said I shouldn't do that as it will bring up all sorts of codes/errors on the dash?

I thought of using the cigarette lighter port but I believe this is switched live so I would probably loose memory on the edfc controller.

Other option would be to put a new feed in direct from the battery but I don't really want to do that if there is a better way.

Has anyone on here hardwired any accessories to a 2014+ and if so, where did you get your power feed from?

thanks

JP

For the Hatch onwards, Subaru have built in an OP (output) connector which brings together various output signals required for accessories.
For the Hatch and MY11-14 WRXSTI it is usually "hidden" behind the fuse box.

For MY15 onwards it may be more accessible looking at the wiring diagrams

It's also handy to obtain a Norenwake Harness 3 (translates as "goodwill harness" ) (latest version being H0077AG021)
