Stereo wiring.
I hate wiring give me an engine to strip down and put back together any time.
Right this scooby i just bought has had an after market stereo fitted. Who ever done it has chopped the wires and wired the standard plug to it. The problem is they have only wired the live , memory , earth and one speaker wire. The problem i am having is every time you start the car you have to turn the stereo on and it starts back from the begining. I have changed the Red and Yellow wires over and it's still the same. Also every speaker works fine by them selves but when i try to wire up more than one at a time it cuts out the one that is already working. Any ideas thanks.

What after market unit has been fitted??
When you say "Who ever done it has chopped the wires and wired the standard plug to it" are you saying they have removed the Subaru plug and wired an iso plug with tails, directly to the subaru wiring??
Subaru wiring colours at the radio plug for UK 2002 Impreza should be
RH rear door - Red/White and Blue/Yellow
LH Rear Door - Orange and White/Red
RH Front door - White/black and Red/Yellow
LH Front Door - Green and Brown/White
Power (battery) - Blue/Red
Power (ignition controlled) - Yellow/Green
Illumination - Violet with Yellow/Blue or Black
Earth - Black

Yes mate wired a standard iso plug after cutting off the Subaru plug. Like the one right at the top of your post.
When i say they have wired the plug all they have wired is Red,Yellow,Black and one speaker. The rest of the wires have been taped up. When i try to wire up any other speakers it cuts out the one that is already wired and then no speakers work.
