Default Hawkeye wash wipe problem

Hi,
Can anyone help me with this one. A quick press on the washer stalk button should wash (and wipe) screen only. I get no water immediatly and if I hold the button down long enought to wash the screen I get the headlight wash as well if they are on. Put extra non-return valve in pipe to screen washers but did not help

Obviously not a disaster but irritating. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Yes I think so. If it was the wrong way round I dont think the washers would work at all. However thanks for the suggestion

I had to do the same on a MkI Escort years ago. The washers always took an age before they washed. Fitting an nrv cured it in one.

Have you had it back out and tried blowing through it wrong way?

NRVs can get stuck open with dirt or mould buildup in the pipes. Definitely worth swapping it out.
