Taking one out, (which is relatively simple and will have to be done to replace it), and then taking it to a reliable carshop, is usually the best bet.

Is there no manual? They usually list bulb types.

sorted now, t20 wedge.. went to 5 car spare shops and non of them had any. eurocar parts decided to argue with me that my bulb wasn't silver, it had infact just blown ...
